Our community is full of amazing folks mobilizing to support Jefferson County through the covid-19 crisis. The following links provide more information on available resources and organizations.
JCARF organized in 2019 and they run a mutual aid and reparations effort that supports black, indigenous folks, and all People of Color (BIPOC) in Jefferson County. Structural racism means BIPOC people have been harder hit by COVID-19 health and economic impacts. Support this organization.
JCF is supporting coordination of COVID-19 response efforts. Their site includes a list of additional organizations providing resources and services. JCF also launched a COVID-19 Emergency Response General Fund to support service organizations.
Local 20/20 is maintaining a comprehensive list of COVID-19 resources. Visit their page for more information on organizations providing financial assistance, food sources, and reliable health information and updates.
Dove House Advocacy Services provides rental assistance for people who have lost their jobs and who, without immediate financial assistance, might otherwise fall into homelessness or long-term debt from which they could not recover. Dove House is running a Rapid Response fund to provide assistance during the COVID-19 outbreak.
St. Vincent de Paul can help with critical needs like Food, Gas, Prescriptions, Mobile phones/minutes, Propane, Utilities, Medical/dental expenses, Repairs, clothing and Laundry.
